White, yellow, orange. Part of the Nass/Suff Greenbelt Trail, named in part Paumanok Path. This is an awesome hike or jog trail. There are a few places you can end your trek and cut back to Rte 24. This starts at Spinney Rd (which is the dirt road blocked from automobile traffic, a private road that begins in East Quogue off Lewis Rd). One begins on Owl Trail and winds through, passing Owl Pond and eventually crossing back over Spinney Rd where you can end your walk or continue. On the other side of Spinney the winding trail leads to higher elevations where the treat is Sears Pond, which drains into Flanders Bay, where one can hear the Spring Peepers calling for one last hoorah or spot a barn owl chasing down its prey. Continuing on there are two paths to take. The right path will lead eventually to Bellows Pond (Sears Bellows County Park; camping, horseback riding and canoeing) and following further will get you across Rte 24 to Hubbard Park in Hampton Bays. The left will wind its way back to Flander's Rd (Rte 24). This is a great half day romp and dogs are allowed. I did not chart the mileage, but I will save that for another day. I estimate about 2.5 miles. Latitude, Longitude: 40.8909846, -72.5944186
